Default Mugen or Spoon?

Hello! I'm kind of new to this forum...
I've just purchased a 03 S2K from my brother for cheap and trying to put some work on it.
I've just put on Injen RD Cold Air Intake last week and ordered Spoon Header.

Do you think Spoon Sports N1 Single Exhaust will be better? or Mugen Dual Exhaust?

I know if I go for turbo later...single piping gives more free flow...but I might just go with supercharger...don't know yet...@.@

So just in general, performance(HP & TQ increase, weight, balance, sounds) wise...which one do you guys think is better?

Or do you recommand any other brands? I was looking at HKS as well.

Thank you and help me out!!!

p.s. anyone need help with DSM?! I'm the person to ask...newbie for s2k tuning but master in 4g63...hehe just trying to help...(owned 98 spyer gs-t, 97 gsx)

The mugen dual exit is quite tame for noise (but still a good choice) and obviously the spoon single exit is less restrictive and I believe louder. Depends what you want from the exhaust really. I have just removed a mugen dual and replaced it with an invidia as I wanted more noise. I believe the hks is more restrictivr than the mugen so I wouldn't go down that route. In the uk the choice is minimal but believe you have a much wider choice in the us. Amuse is worth considering, very light but a lot of $'s

If you only care about performance, go with the Spoon. Another good choice for a single exhaust is the T1R. You might want to look into that exhaust. Congrats on the car. You choose the best color!

T1R 70mm single looks like the best gains so far. Get the test pipe to.

You guys are funny, whats your defnition of performance? I have a Mugen exaust with a Mugen header, and my car pulls pretty damn hard in the mid range now. I know the spoon will give you a couple up top, but is that really going to help you at any time when your not at 9k?

Oh the mugen is also THE BEST SOUNDING EXHAUST I have ever heard on an S. It had that tuned sound to it. I cant really describe it but you'll know it when you hear it.

Actually, more than half of the gain came from the test pipe, not the exhaust.

wow, fanboy alert. anyway, I vote T1R, the gains are very impressive, and I believe there is a titanium version coming out which will make the thing weigh close to nothing.

edit grammar fixed (always make stupid mistakes when I type fast)
