wow, fanboy alert. anyway, I vote T1R, the gains are very impressive, and I believe there is a titanium version coming out which will make the thing way close to nothing.
FANBOY? Why? Have you ridden in a car equipped with the same parts as I have described? He asked a question about the exhaust and I told him what my experience was. There are several other members on this board who have ridden/driven my car both before and after these parts were installed and they'll tell you that same thing that I did.

Jesus, because i mentioned Mugen I'm a Fanboy. It has nothing to do with the products actually performing. No, because I spent the money on the expensive stuff I must be a fanyboy. Get a ing clue. Oh and learn some grammar. Its WEIGH not WAY.

sorry for jumping to conclusions, but the way you defend mugen makes it seem kinda fanboyish
"oh you guys are funny, whats your idea of performance?"
come off as sounding like the only way to get "real" performance is out of mugen, and everyone else is stupid for believing there are better ways to go than mugen.

and sound is kinda subjective, although to me it does sound great.

You would get a bit more power with the Spoon, but IMO the Mugen sounds and looks perfect for a street car.

The general rule of thumb with the s2000 is... dual exhaust = good looks and minimal gains. Single exhaust = lighter, still good looking (maybe not AS good) and bigger hp/tq gains.

Honestly though you have to expirence it. See if someone locally to you has that set up and go for a ride.

matters if you want loud or close to stock

an intake with the mugen exhaust would be my choice over the spoon n1

why ? spoon's drone is over bearing

Hello! I'm kind of new to this forum...
I've just purchased a 03 S2K from my brother for cheap and trying to put some work on it.
I've just put on Injen RD Cold Air Intake last week and ordered Spoon Header.

Do you think Spoon Sports N1 Single Exhaust will be better? or Mugen Dual Exhaust?

I know if I go for turbo later...single piping gives more free flow...but I might just go with supercharger...don't know yet...@.@

So just in general, performance(HP & TQ increase, weight, balance, sounds) wise...which one do you guys think is better?

Or do you recommand any other brands? I was looking at HKS as well.

Thank you and help me out!!!

p.s. anyone need help with DSM?! I'm the person to ask...newbie for s2k tuning but master in 4g63...hehe just trying to help...(owned 98 spyer gs-t, 97 gsx)
IMO, its all on your choice and what you want. Most if not all of the JDM aftermarket bolt-ons net you close to zero in HP (5hp at most). Then you say you want a SC or Turbo later. Thats like saying I am going to buy a $10000 watch later or a $6000 one. Those arent cheap by any means. I am not saying you cant afford it but most people cant. I would lose the injen intake pick up the Mugen ($1500) and pick up the Amuse dual ($2500), J's Racing header ($1500) and testpipe($200). That would be your best route and since a turbo is not to much for you then pick up the Mugen SS front ($2200 w/shipping) to compliment it.. Good luck!

well, i took a ride in ROLLINMYS2K's car and im telling ya, it PULLS.
it really is amazing how much mid-range is there that wasnt b4 the mugen bolt-ons. highly recommended mods....

also the mugen which is a quiet exhaust, really wakes up in the mid-high and sounds tuned and REALLY good....jmho
