Mugen vs. Spoon ECU
so it sounds like most people are feeling that the ECU may not be the best way to go....do the header, exhaust first and then maybe the ECU....does anyone here have a new chip that they are running? anyone using other than OEM ecu right now?

Nobody is saying the ECU isn't the way to go, but that full consideration to the car's application should be considered. If the S2000 is a second car used for track days and weekend drives, nothing should hold you back from obtaining it's advantages. Then again as Prolene said, if it is consistenly in hot, stop n go conditions with the AC etc, you may want to maintain the safety net of the ECU protecting your engine, as well as the immobilizer protecting your stook against theft. The ECU upgrade should be thought through carefully.

Thanks guys. it is a daily driver so I may want to leave the ecu the way it is for engine protection....the insite is appreciated.... I am thinking about going with maybe a vafc and a fpr any suggestions??

I suggested the same thing in my original post but edited it out when it occurred to me that the ECUs cycle from reset to steady state for quite a while trying to learn various engine parameters. So you will not get your full performance back for a while after reset.
