Love it!

There really is nothing more I can say that hasn't been said by someone else. The car is truly special. I have owned a BMW E46 M3, Lexus SC430, Audi S4 and a Hyundai Scoupe..yeah, I said it, a Scoupe! Anyways, I've owned some fairly nice cars and some not so nice ones, and nothing has felt as special as the S2000.

That being said, I figure it's always easier to complain and find fault, so here is my list of TOP 10 things I would like to see in the redesigned S2000:

1) Radio dash controls that allow you to go backwards and forwards...so not just one button but two. Drives me nuts.

2) Auto headlights and door locks. Safe and one less thing to hassle with.

3) Cupholder in an out of the way spot. I would suggest just to the right of the stick.

4) Analog gauges. The digital gauges are cool, but it's hard to beat the beauty and simplicity of a an analog tach staring back at you fromt he dash. Plus when the speedometer goes up or down it always seems to catch my eye. Kind of distracting.

5) A better computer info system. Right now we get mileage and a clock. But it would be nice to have a screen similar, but smaller, to what is in the Skyline. You can get info on radio, mp3, satellite, mileage, time, climate control. And it doesn't have to be color.

6) A way to turn on the radio without having to lower the facade.

7) Auto-dimming mirror. With the ride height as low as it is, we are in the worst spot for obnoxious drivers behind to blind us.

8) Keyless remote functionality built-in to the key; like BMW's.

9) A bit more dramatic design. Perhaps something a bit more aggresive. When I first saw the S2000 I liked it, but it did feel bland nevertheless. So something a bit more edgy would be great. But nothing to fadish. Part of the attraction to an S2000 is the classic design.

10) Dynamic Stability Control. It was going to be on the S2k originally but was sacricifed to keep cost down. But I think it would be far less expensive to implement now.

Thanks for reading my rant.

Drive safe.

They are all good ideas, but they'd cause the price of the car to go up. The only one that I don't agree with is 10. with stability control the car would drive like any other sports car out there. That's what makes the s2 such an awesome car, with stability control you would lose the cornering ability. The car would be easier to control but not nearly as much fun to drive. it would drive more like an all wheel drive car and it would cause the car to have less oversteer and more understeer, which would make it a car anyone could drive. Being able to drive an s2000 is a skill that you cannot obtain through driving a bmw or even a porsche, the stability control would give away its uniqueness from the rest. Or better yet, how about a switch to turn the ASC on and off, that would be nice, especially in the rain.

Yes, it would be nice to have traction control ON/OFF button. Then again, I really have no complaints about my S2000.

It just feels damn RAW! I love it.

When it first came out I was hoping it would be marketed as an Acura, providing more room on the price for the features I wanted (like heated seats).

What the heck, I'm on my second one anyway. The only other cars I bought more than 1 in a row are Toyota MR2s (86 and 91) and BMW 5-series (98 and 01).

I think the car is just about perfect.

The only things I would add are:

Choice of interior colors (Red, Tan, Black, etc.)
More exterior colors

I believe that these would be good options. Honda should have released different verions of the S. A base version like the one we have, a track version with a manual roof, lighter parts, and more ridged suspension, bigger brakes, etc, and a touring version with the options that you listed.

IMO, the stereo doesn't really need a power switch-- just leave it on all the time and use the ever-convenient mute button. I haven't turned off my stereo since I bought the car. I love that button!

I sort of wish the mute button kept the radio muted even after turning the car off and back on.

For a while I was muting the radio at lights because I was still nervous about driving stick, and if I did stall (which happened a few times), I'd restart the car and the stereo would be blaring lol.
