MY 2006 and MY 2008
Hi...I initially put this question on " car talk"...probably the wrong place.
Anyway, I have a MY 2006 that is up on lease late May...At present I'm
deciding to buy it or extend the lease. Another option is buying a new MY08
....I've heard the suspension on the 08 is a little tighter and the steering
is more responsive. Has anyone on the forum driven both and noticed
the difference.
Thanks

I had a similar decision to make last summer when my '05 lease was up.
I decided to hand in my '05 NFR and get a new ('08) Laguna Blue.
To be honest, I thought my '05 rode a bit stiffer.
s2kred - you mean lease a new '09 not an '08 ???????

At present,at least in the Southwest the new s2000 is a rare car.In Arizona
there is 1 2008 in Phoenix and 3 2009s spread over the State.I was thinking of possibly buying the 08 for a lesser price. BTW,there are many more CRs available if wanted.
Soof...do you prefer the softer ride in the 08?

Hey red ! - Softer ride? Well, it's one of those yes/no answers.
The diff is very modest but still noticeable. I guess I do prefer the ride of the'05 over the '08. But again it's very marginal.
I do miss the wheels however. The current 5 spokes are ok. Certainly easier to wash !
I'm surprised to hear of the scarcity of the S in your area. I would think they'd be plentiful with a long top down season.

I've been driving a 2008 this week, and have a 2006. The MY 08 feels much smoother in terms of shifting but I don't know if that's because it's a new car. I am more comfortable driving it.
The seats have been changed by adding and adjustable setting....the seat back pivots slightly back. I found the 2006 seat position to be perfect, though. I think the passenger seatback also pivots.

BTW- did you swap interiors? The Sebring Silver was not available in Blk/Rd for '06(or else I would have bought one instead of my Silverstone)
