I picked her up yesterday. Boy what an exciting and long day. Up at 4:30. Drive rental car to Ft. Worth. Tonya (sales person) picked us up at the rental place. My baby is right in front, still wearing her plastic. 1 hour later after some heated discussion, the deal is closed and we're driving back home, top down. Arrive in Austin. First stop is a car wash to power spray off the travel grime. I didn't let them touch her. Then home to a thorough car wash and two coats of Zaino. Try and get another on tonight. She's gorgeous. I think a name change is in order though. She doesn't look like a Roxanne. I'm thinking of Melissa.

NITS..Not worth mentioning. I really think the NITS posted on this board are way too picky. Speakers are fine for me.
It's no slouch below VTEC. Just have to stay in a power band. God this is like driving a motorcycle with a top. In fact my wife commented on how enjoyable it was without a helmet.

Congrats wirejock! Picked up my white S2k from the same dealership yesterday afternoon (Linda Dixon was my saleswoman). Overheard some of the other dealers talking about a yellow S2k sold earlier in the day, must've been yours Frank Kent Motors is the only dealership I've found in the area that sells MSRP. Too bad they're completely sold out on their allotment this year, I was real lucky to get mine when I did.

Can't wait to VTEC mine Still hasn't sunk in that I have her though ... Definitely a step up from my '97 Civic Hatchback <G>

 

Finally. Congrats man. I can't wait to see her at our next meeting, which we should start trying to arrange. Maybe later in February since some of us will be back from driving school then. The car only gets better and more fun every day. I'll be on the lookout for yet another Austin S2K!
