Well it happened today. Someone hit my car in the parking lot today. I don't know who, I don't know when but it happened.

Some type of white vehicle dragged itself across the front corner of my bumper. From the tow hook to the far end of the headlight!

I don't know if I am more upset that they hit the car and drove away or that they drove away and didn't leave a note on the car.

I guess that I am looking for a new bumper!

My condolences. This is one of my worst fears when out in the s2k. When the lunkhead who hit it took a look at the car, they probably shuddered to think of what the owner might do when finding thier baby with a broken nose.
I hope the guilt eats at them for a looooooooooong while.

Haha! Sorry to hear about your situation, but looks like you are handling it calmly. Some people have no sense of respect for others, and unfortunately you've come into contact ( no pun intended) with one of them. Was it at a store or work, or someplace you might be near that car again? Get out your Detroit Tigers hat and start your Magnum PI investigation of the lots you frequent, maybe you can find a mostly white car with some silver trim !

 

Sorry to hear about what happened to your car. People just have no respect these days for other people's property. I would've filed a police report just in case.

The damage doesn't sound too bad. If these bumpers are like most Honda bumpers, you can smooth them out by putting them in hot water. Then all you need to do it repaint it.

Good luck with the repairs. I hope you find those guys that did this.

You got to look at it as an opportunity. I know it is hard to see it that way but if you gonna fork out some cash, you want to be able to do it your way (a little bit). I hope everything turns out good.

I started the process yesterday. If I remember correctly the bumper is going to cost $287 at the body shop. That is unpainted of course.
