Default My Broken Kaaz Differential (pics)...

This damage was cause after about a year of usage with absolutely no launching of the car. From my experience now, the OEM differential handled more abuse than the Kaaz can. I have emailed the pics to Kaaz and will contact them on Monday.

What's next? Have you considered using the Mugen Diff?

Wow. Looks like the diffs got totally shredded. Good luck, Wes.

That's not the differential at all. You broke the ring and pinion gears, not the diff technically. Who made the gears is the question?

Here's the thing: The differential is the mechanism by which your inner and outer wheels can turn at different speeds in a turn yet lock up when lack of traction is experience (in the case of a limited slip unit like we have). The ring and pinion gears have nothing to do with the differential itself other than providing a connection to the driveshaft. That's why I'm wondering who made the gears. If someone buys a unit from Kaaz do they get another set of gears with it? If not then it might be the original gears from Honda still in there. I wouldn't be so quick to condemn Kaaz for this failure that likely has nothing to do with their parts.

Definitely the ring and pinion. Maybe the gears were not spaced or installed properly when your new diff was installed. You might want to contact the mechanic that did your install.

OK, I was under the misconception that those were part of the differential...guess they are not. I need to start a new thread "My Broken Ring and Pinion (pics)"...
