203.4 hp at my rear wheels....My speedo is off a little! My 5th gear run was showing 143mph on my speedo, but less than 140mph on the dyno. No RPM's listed because we were too lazy to take off that thing on the engine covering the plug wires....

here is a link...pic is too big..plus sideways...

Reckon the speed difference is from the larger rims?

They look great BTW. Looking into Volk's for my stook. Either that or the Work Meister's but $2600 is a bit steep.

Zoinks.... the rear tires are almost worn out (thank god, i can finally switch them), so i am guessing that contributed to my error in speedo.

the 17*40*225 is almost exactly the same rolling diameter as the stock 225/50/16's

Scot

the 17" Volks are lighter than the stock 16" setup as and added bonus... not sure about the works.?

I rotated the pic for easier viewing. It's friggin' huge.

And yes, I'm bored

Scot, what's the deal with the different speeds? Different gears?

RT - as explained by the dyno guy....

he did one run in 5th, then one in 4th. i sat in the car. he told me that a car will always produce the most horsepower in the 1:1 gear, which apparently is 4th on our cars.?

Since the speedo is working off of something (not the front tires), i watched it as he was dynoing... in 5th, it hit and indicated 143mph, but my dyno plot shows 138 or so. Same with 4th... i think it showed 118 inside the car, but less than that on the dyno.

My tires are pretty worn out, so that would contribute, but the speedo may just be inaccurate too.??

hmm.. I would ask him to replot with RPM's on the X axis.

also, shouldn't you always run the Dyno in 3rd as it is closest to a 1:1 gear ratio?

Did you mean 17*40*245?

Here are the S2000 gear ratios:

1st: 3.133
2nd: 2.045
3rd: 1.481
4th: 1.161
5th: 0.971
6th: 0.811

For what it's worth...
