Default My gear mess sorted out. Please read.

Ok, short short version, just in case someone missed the whole story.

1. Bought new "4.43s" from a member
2. 4.57s come in, I decide to upgrade.
3. Decide to sell the still new, unopened 4.43s.
4. Gear prices tank.
5. I open gears, discover they are 4.30s.
6. Cannot refund them to seller.

The 4.30s were originally bought from Ricks. I wont get into details, but Ricks2k has given me an extremely generous refund for these gears. Within a hundred dollars of the price that the new 4.57s are going for.

Ive dealt with a lot of vendors, but have never come across a vendor that is willing to take a clear loss for a customer that they do not even owe (I didnt buy the gears from them, and the original transaction happened quite some time ago).

I owe them big time. The money is not important. The gears are not important, but service like this makes all the difference in the world.

And you can be sure that I will be a customer for life, even if they send my next order to Somalia by mistake.

to the best damn vendor on this forum, IMO.

(Special thanks to Jeff [stratocaster] for doing this. Great guy, great company).

Oz.

I'm happy for you that it got sorted out.

But all that trouble and you are now also selling your 4.57's?

What gives?

I think you misunderstood his post. He decided to upgrade to the 4.57s.

Its a long story. I still have my own 4.57s which I will be installing.

Btw, Rick, you mentioned you fly out to Oakland once in a while when I spoke to ya. I owe you (and any other member of Ricks2k) a dinner. Let me know when youre in town.
