Default My head sticks a bit up above the roll hoops...

I'm only 5'9" but my head sticks above the roll hoops maybe by about 0.5"-1" in a comfortable driving position. I haven't taken a ruler to it, but I'm not sure if this is normal.

My seat's headrests also stick above the roll hoops by about 1.5"-2"... is this normal and/or safe?

you have a long torso. my head sticks above it by a good inch or so if i sit low as possible but i'm 6'2". it's actually really comfortable for me to sit lower but there is just basically no steering wheel clearance between my legs

My head is just a bit over the roll hoops and I'm 5'7 or 5'8 and I'm looking to recondition my seats sell them. Just about any aftermarket seat will lower you about 2 inches i think.

My head is about 3" above them, in fact the top of my head is above the top of the windshield by about 1/2"... scares the hell out of my wife, here's to hoping I never roll it. : )

I am 6'2 but I have a long torsoe.

I'm 6'2'' with a long torso, and my head sticks above them quite a bit if I sit very upright.

As stated above, it really depends on your torso length. What's a "normal" torso length?

I wouldn't worry, if you look at rollover pictures of the S2000, you will notice that the windshield frame is the primary rollover protection. And your main concern is getting crushed, not hitting your head, there is adequate protection that no one should get crushed. Let's be realistic here, in almost all the rollover accident I have seen (I used to be a firefighter) people hit their heads, in non-convertablis the top crushes down and they hit their head on that, in rollover-protected convertibles they hit their head on the ground, it makes very little difference.

Thanks bronx! I looked at a lot of rolled-over S2000s and the windshield frames looks exceptionally strong compared to cars like the Miata. God forbid anything like that actually happens to any of us, but that makes me feel more comfortable =)

I can't tell how much my head sticks up out of the windshield, so I just wear a hat. It looks like I dressed in the dark, but whatever

Yeah, I'm almost 6'3" and have rolled mine. The windshield frame is gonna do more than the hoops for roll over protection. I've lowered my seat pan so I sit about flush or just slightly under the top of the hoops and have plenty of room for my hands to pass between my leg and the wheel. I weigh ~ 190 so am relatively thin. The day I rolled it I had a 6'5" friend in the pass seat, just before we took off he asks "what am I gonna do if you roll this thing?" 'cause his head was about 3" above the hoops. I told him to kiss his ankles. When we went over neither one of us even got a scratch, it was a bear getting out but for 2 6'3"+ guys to walk away from a rolled over S2k says a lot. I got it fixed and still drive the poopoo out of it
