well yes and no......mayb I misunderstood the question but this is something what it should look like:

_______/------------ ________/--------------

Left is driver side, right is passenger side

this is up to a wall. The left part of the beam pattern on the driverside should match the left part of the beam pattern on the passenger side. The beam patterns when they match up they should have a very distinct sharp line and not a fuzzy one.

As for the question of the driver side being lower then the passenger side.......they should be the same height but the left portion of the beam pattern is lower then the right portion of the beam pattern as it flares up towards the right on purpose for road signs, etc etc,. This is why the left portion is lower to keep from blinding oncoming traffic. Maybe I just wrote all this up for nothing....LOL...

Now I am confused.

I don't see any difference between the "driver side" and the "passenger side" diagrams. Besides, why should the light pattern look any different just because you are 3 feet to the left or right? And I don't understand what you were trying to say about "driverside ... match ... passenger side". Can you explain that in plain English?

Uhhhhh, you just said they should be the same height but the left should be lower then the right? That wouldn't really make them even... Your explanation is a bit confusing, but I think you're saying what everyone else is saying pretty much. Left should be lower then the right.

My car is just the opposite, my driver side is substantially higher than my passenger side, i know that because i let my friend drive my car and i drove his, and from his rearview mirrors, my driver side headlight blinds the crap out of me..

How do I adjust this.. I'm getting sick of being highbeamed on the road by opposite traffic.

Sorry guys I knew I would confuse someone.......probably including myself..lol.

Ok What I meant to say.......concentrate on the driver side headlamp. Pull up to a wall and you will notice both left and right headlamps have the same beam pattern which looks like this

_______/------------

The driver and the passenger side look like that. What I was trying to say is that the driver and passenger should be the same height. I was using the left portion as a mark

this is the left portion I am refering to on the picture above:

________

That is the lower portion of the projector beam. the higher portion is this part:

------------

and the angle flare is this :

/

Put together and it looks like the picture:

_____/---------

Yes the left portion is suppose to be lower then the right portion of the projector beam pattern PER side headlamp. I thought or understood that the driver side headlmap was completely lower then the passenger side headlamp as in this example:

passengerside--------------------> _______/----------
________/-------------- <----driverside

See above how the driver side is lower then the passenger side:

As pictured above I thought this was what you were referring to and in this case your headlamps are off and should match up. This is where I was referring to using the left portion of the beam pattern to match up per side. As in concentrate on this part:

_________ this portion must match the passenger side portion here _______

I hope I make sense this time.....LOL.....I suck at explaining especially without actual pictures...hahaha

Maybe you accidently received a pair of JDM headlamps, where they drive on the opposite side.

Hey maybe, my car was a wrecked car in the front, and they ordered a new pair of headlights, because the other one (the good one) was scratched up. But anyway.. how do I adjust them?

Actually, that helped me a lot. I looked carefully tonight when my lights were on the bumper of a car ahead of me, and that's exactly what they look like. Glad they're not out of adjustment.
