Default My hood doesn't latch when "dropped" to closed...

Ok, I know all the stuff about dropping the hood to close it instead of pushing on it, but my hood does not latch if I simply drop it. It has to be pushed above the latch to get it to catch and close completely. Can I adjust something to fix this??

You can raise the bracket an 1/8 inch. I have to do this once a month.

I was shown by the salesman to kind of "throw" it up with your fingertips lightly about and inch and let it fall down. Works for me every time.

I agree with this.

I think Honda wanted it to close tightly and accounted for the rubber seal dehydrating , shrinking and getting softer over tiime.

There are rubber stops for the hood that you can adjust slightly and solve the problem.

Mine worked everytime until I switched to my Top Secret CF Hood. Now I have to push it down, it doesn't latch. Any suggestions?

Adjust the latch mechanism that's in front of the rad (raise it) AND/OR adjust the rubber bump stops on each side near the hood opening edge (lower them).

In response to the original post:
You shouldn't be needing to push down on the hood to make it latch. This is a very delicate hood (soft metal). If you can't latch it by dropping it, drop it from higher up (a couple of feet max maybe). If you need to drop it from higher than this, the aforementioned adjustment are in order.
