this is true. you bring up a good point.
I get the feeling that the people making these comments towards the younger crowd are doing so because they see younger people affording the S and this somehow devalues their ownership and image. Fyi, if youve worked hard and saved hard, its all the same

Props to you
Glad that you seem responsible and willing to learn regarding this S2000 game.
It's rather difficult to avoid stereotypes and getting "bashed" is inevitable because you're still young; but having a positive mentality and mindset about it will get you through anything.
Good Luck bro

Looking back when I was a teenager, I thought I was mature and smart. It's all the same. Wait until you get older, you will eventually feel the same. I don't think teenagers are stupid for owning this car. It's just a car.
Interesting thread - here's my comment and yes I've been there before!
Just enjoy your childhood, we all were young once and we all will be old eventually. Maturity comes with age, nothing else can replace it!
However I've made some good friends with "kids" who were 16 at the time and seen them to grow up to be find adults now (he's 22 now). Being around parents who love and respect cars will encourage kids to do the same. But younger people tend to like to show off more and that is where trouble comes knocking. Yes it's a stereotype but do kids crash cars more, yes undeniably true so you will get that mentality.
No need to prove to us here on the forum. I've seen some F1 drivers that are younger than you and boy they can drive. All about how you take care of yourself since if you kill someone it's not us you have to answer to. Driving safe is for yourself and your loved ones.
Save the show off mentality for others as many of us here did stupid things including me and now just enjoy our cars for ourselves.
I'm 33 btw, had my first modded import in chicago WAY back before it was considered cool when I was 16 and boy it's been fun all these years. Can't say I never did something stupid but I sure did get lucky!
