I said to myself that there is no way that a cva-1005 (or comparable flip-out) will fit in the S2000. The overhang is too big. So I just went with the Eclipse deck, commander unit, and GPS unit. It's funny to see who different people think so different. You're mind is obviously more open in creativity in the this area then mine! Very nice!

I was happy with my Eclipse too

Do you really like the Dynaudios? I had the same set and thought they sounded good untill you really cranked 'em and then they started to fall in fidelity, how are they with the top down?

yello,

I can't believe this thread got dug up! Compared to my Boston Pro 6.5^3 in my other vehicle, Infinities & ADS I used to own... the Dynaudios are fantastic. No, they are not really worth the ~$1200 for the set but they are great.

The reason they sound so good with the top down is the mounting of both the midrange and the tweeter in the dash. No imaging by the knees... no matter what components I use, I always get 3-Ways and always mount the midrange and tweeter in the dash...

BTW, one thing missing from this thread is a picture of my IVA-C800 open...

Hey, look Ma: no PAC IR!

While we have dug up this old thread, let me add my first revision of my plexiglass amp rack holding two Alpine MRV-1507 amplifiers:

The picture doesn't show it, but I have a ton of left over trunk space for groceries (BTW)
