so the trim would actually be a CF looking trim?
it sounds like they use some kind of "photo-etching" process.
looks great Pete!

Yes, but it's not just the CF pattern. They have various CF patterns and colors, and also wood grains, and other stuff. I'm not yet sure if we will be able to choose any design, or not, but there is a lot of potential for individuality with this project. I am focusing mainly on the CF stuff, because I think most S2000 owners will be interested in that.

I hope I didn't sabotage the description of your manufacturing process too badly!

I just wanted to give everyone an idea of what is involved here.

Thanks for attempting this new project. Everyone I have talked to so far, is really excited about it!

[B]nope, it's tough to expain in terms easily grasped. I leave it at 3D printing. Yeah I love challenges. The parts I want to do like the gauge panel, console, and door parts are fairly easy.

I think it could happen fairly quickly. I'm trying to get the pieces made for my car before August 30th.

As soon as I know, you guys will know, too.

I'm not keeping any secrets on this project!

That's not something I can honestly answer, at this point, but I've checked out the stuff, and my guess is that it will last as long as any OEM piece with a similar finish.

The covering is not soft, or loose. You can't even tell that it's been added to the part by looking at it, or touching it.

I believe this company is making the same kind of stuff for the manufacturers of Land Rovers. I'm guessing that these parts are being offered as an option, but I can't remember all of the details, and I didn't ask a lot of questions about that. Richard also mentioned that he had, or has, plans to contact Honda, to see if they would also be interested in some type of program.

I'm sorry I can't be more clear on these details, but our meeting wasn't that long, and I was selfishly thinking a lot about getting my own stuff done. I'm sure I will be getting a lot more details for you guys as we move along with the project.

One thing I'm really hoping for, is that they will be able to produce a close match to my 2+2 CF weave Amuse-style hood. The 1+1 that you see in the pics above really looks good in person, too.
