Default My new S2000 was hit the same day I bought it !

Well, Im new to ownership, I just bought an 04 S2000 yesterday with 46K miles for $18000. It is (or was) in great condition body wise. The only thing about it is that there's a tear in the convertible top that needs to be replaced, and it was missing it's shift knob (someone at the dealership had lost it )

Anyway, I got the car at about 11am on Saturday, and I've been in the process of moving, so I park the car in the far corner of my apartment's parking lot, backed it in, and made sure that there were no cars around it. It was completely visible.

I load up my Uhaul with my fiancee and go to head over to my new house for about an hour and unload some furniture. I come back first by myself and walk up to the car and I notice something looks a little funny. I walk up and I see that the right front fascia/bumper has been pushed up and outward over the right headlight, there's a puncture mark a few inches below it, and it caused the hood to bow out and crown in the middle so that you can almost see the engine. Im still so freakin' pissed. Even the cop that came out was amazed that someone hit it sitting all by itself in clear view. It was a hit and run and no one left their information.

I just can't believe this all happened. I haven't even been able to enjoy the car yet. Thanks everyone for letting me vent. If anyone knows of a good body shop around Orlando,FL let me know. I've used Car ER in the past.

Sorry to hear what happened. Try posting up in your local regional forum and see if you can get some shop recommendations there. People these days have no respect!

Was probably some ****ing RETARD in a lifted truck.

There is nothing wrong with lifted trucks, only the ****wads that are in most of them.

Some twat almost ran me over when I was leaving McDonald parking lot a couple nights ago, he was coming into the lot and took the entrance really wide and was busy sucking his own dirty cock and almost drove up onto the front of my S2K.
I threw my ****ing Coke into his window, he got out and I ****ing leveled him with 1 punch.

I got back into my car and took off.

Taught that stupid mother****er to watch where he's going.

This really sucks.

But lets turn a negative into a positive. Add the tear into the estimate. Then you get a new paint job, and a new top.

Besides, the S2000's paint job sucks. You probably had paint chips on the nose anyway. Add a few extra bucks and get some better quality paint. Don't have them match the paint that's on the car. Get the same color, but just better quality paint and add extra layers of clear coat. And get the 3M bra.

Aww man that sucks. Hopefully everything will work out and you'll be driving your S2000 again in no time.

Yo we have all been through something of that sort... so... we feel your anger brother...

I bought my 07 and in less than a month, I had a tore up top when some fukers tried to steal it in my own home...

Just like others have said, get a better paint job, fix your top, and enjoy... we as S owners are a unique breed of car enthusiast...

This board / forum proves it...
