my new S2K :)
Whoa, so clean and sexy. I was not too fond of the color combo myself until I actually saw one in person the other day, these pictures just reinforce that thinking. Congrats on the new car man, take care of her!!!
thanks! i didnt like the tan until i saw it in person. i still prefer the '00-01 white/red interior though
it's hard to compare the G35C vs. the S2000, since they're so different</captain obvious>. i have always liked S2000s but i went with the G because of its style, power, and practicality. it turned out that i never carried passengers and the car felt too big and heavy.
the biggest difference is the shifter. the G's gearbox has a positive feel but requires a lot of effort. the honda feels like everything is coated with teflon, and it's like second nature. there is no comparison handling-wise, but that's a given considering the nature of both cars. i will miss the G's exhaust note though

You check for spacers yet? You seem to be sitting way too high.
Great pictures by the way, clear as a bell.

the G was a lot more comfortable, because it was more plush and had a bunch of luxury doodads. however it's not as luxurious as people perceive it to be. there's a LOT of road, engine, and transmission noise. the interior isn't nearly as bad a 350Z but it's not on par with a lexus or even an acura TSX.
hmm...speedwise...i havent broken the S in yet so i cant comment a whole lot
the mighty VQ35DE is a robust powerplant, and tracts well down low all the way up to about 6000rpm. near redline it was a bit thrashy. IMHO the weakest link was the 6MT transmission.

lol i actually like the interior of a 350z more than that of a g35. ive been in one, its ok i think but like u said..not as good as what some ppl thought of it. and can u explain on the 6speed manual is missing link?...so if ur g35 was a 6speed, u wouldve kept it? sorry if im on the wrong track here. 6speed is so rare around so cal lol.
the shifter required conscious effort and was notchy at times. nothing at all like a honda tranny
anyway i drove an automatic G and i felt like it was a better match for the car. purely my opinion though, i know a lot of Z/G owners would disagree.

Gorgeous car. I sat in a GPW with red interior in Edmonton a month ago and just fell in love. I prefer red to tan interior, but the tan looks fine. I've always preferred Silverstone for an exterior colour until recently so I think I'll shoot for a white... Beautiful.
