Default My New Toy

I should have done this a long time ago. As much as I loved the NSX (had 2) I should have known it's little brother a full 10 years younger would be awesome.

I got it last week and now have 450 miles. Almost ready to VTEC it. All I can say is that I'm having a blast without even running hard. Handling, rigidity, steering, etc making even short shifting fun. The torque issue seems to be a non issue. This car is easily as fun as my M Roadster but in a very different way. I would sling my tale out and hold it there for like 2 blocks with the throttle around virtually every stop light when no cars are around.

I did this in the S (a used one) with a little double clutching and it held the drift well but cannot steer with the throttle as well as the M. But the telepathic steering and stiffness coupled with it's sleek hunkered down stance has me in love. Now if I can find a way to get that F1 sound like the NSX had. Any suggestions?

I got my new s2000 a few days ago......I have about 250 miles...it is fun even without the vtec......But i am sure at 600 miles it will be funner..is that a word? I love the little girgul imbetween shifting gears. Would love to have that F-1 sound too. Maybe by modifing the air intake? The car sorta has that same sound as my friends 87' 300zx turbo. I think its an 87'. But i too would be interested in any mods to give it more of the f-1 sound. Good luck....Loads of fun!

The sound of the car changes after 2k miles and if you still dont like it look up the different threads with exhaust and intake sound clips.

Really. I want an NSX. but damn the new ones are hella crazy. i got 700 miles on my s2000. I don't drive much cuz everywhere I go I end up using navi. from my bmw. But the weather is getting sweeter, so the yellow mobile will be out more often.

If you want the F-1 sound, go with an AEM Cold Air Intake. It is about $220, or so, and it sounds awesome. It is loud at wide open throttle, especially at high RPMs, and quiet at low RPM's with partial throttle. I like it so much better than a loud exhaust that is loud even when you don't want it to be.
