Default My POOR baby.

Today i write my thread with a tear in my eye. On May 22nd i was coming home from school ( 1 day before summer break) in my black on black 01 S2000 with a brand new amuse lip, injen CAI, APR wing, Cleared headlights, VOLK 18" le37, DVD monitor... I guess i was excited that i just had finished my hardest exam. I was doing about sixty on a street right next to my school, when i saw the left turn light turn yellow. For some odd reason i decided to make that turn. I slowed down to about 50, wich is when i noticed a really hot girl in an explorer at the red light. So now im thinking, "what a great chance to show off a little drifting!". I take this monster turn at a horrendous speed, and my S starts to take off to a smooth drift. But with my old worn out tires from one too many burn outs, I was facing my very final DRIFT. My back tires gave out, this is when i lost control of the car, i jammed it down to 2nd gear and let off the clutch trying to save my S, but the 22nd of may was destined for my baby's death. My car jumped the curb and went into the trees. Next thing i know im between a couple trees and a giant pole. My door caved in thirteen inches from the hit. Because my door would not open, i jump out of my car, run to the front and see my left cleared headlight bashed. "Those tedious 9 hours of hot glue and silicone from clearing headlights gone!" I looked around and saw my $400 apr wing about 30 feet away bleeding in the grass. Then i look down in dissapointment and see my beautiful amuse front lip that i had on the car for 4 days, ripped in 3 pieces. At this point my leggs were wobbling so i just sat down in the grass. People hopped out of their cars just to help me out and called the police and everything. The ambulance came and put me in a stretcher and took me to the hospital even though i felt 100% fine. So now i sit in front of my computer, carless, writing this long description of what happened to my beautiful car, waiting and waiting for the insurance company to call me back and tell me what the're gonna do.

....as the saying goes: A fool and his sports-car will soon part. Hope you learned something from it...at least you are okay, and didn't hurt anyone else.

Let me be clear. I'm very glad that nobody got hurt. You were lucky.

However, you are also an idiot. Drifting your car on the streets is STUPID, IRRESPONSIBLE and RECKLESS. You are one lucky SOB that you didn't kill yourself or some poor innocent slob.

Again, I'm glad that nobody was hurt but I also sincerely hope that you've learned your lesson. Driving your car like an a-hole with immature hopes of impressing the ladies is stupid.

If you want to be a race car driver than take the thing to the track. Otherwise, plant your ass in front of the TV and start playing more GT3.

sorry at your lost bud, tough luck. Taking a corner @ 50 is still pretty fast, the S has mechanical grip but not that kind of grip.

Hopefully you learned to have more respect for your baby next time and not put you baby into those circumstances.

Oh, btw, you'll impress more girl by just pulling up to them with the S and giving them a rather than trying to be the Drift King

Sounds like one helluva ride. I'm glad you're ok and that no one else was hurt. Could have been tragic.

Sounds like a B.S. story, an absolutely stupid thing to do, or just plain automotive Darwinism.

Either way, I have absolutely no sympathy. Stupid actions create their own consequences.

P.S. got any pics?

Why don't you all lay off the guy? What he did was not smart and he knows it. He has to pay the consequences.

For one, I'm very glad he's ok and that he came here to tell his story. Maybe it'll make a few others, experienced and inexperienced, think twice before they do something stupid.

Belittle people and they'll never tell you what they really have to say.
