Default My Problem

Well, I have decided that I am going to sell my 01 yellow/black. I really love the car, but I am getting married sep 8th, and we need a bigger house, and as much as I hate to say it, I HATE THE DAMN CONVERTABLE TOP. ahhhhhhhh, I feel better. I wish to god that honda had brought this car out as a 2 door hatchback. That way I could have justified the car as a daily driver and a "sunday driver". So, I go to the Acura dealer yesterday and test drive the new RSX thinking this would be the best of both worlds, well Save your time, its not a sports car, it sucks. Let me refraze that. It is a MUCH better car than the previous integra in terms of comfortability, and refindment. It is now its an Acura, but it rides waaaaay to cushy and has far to much body roll to beat the current integra R. And as far as how fast? I can only judge by "The Ol Seat of the Pants Dyno" and it says SLOWWWW!!!! I guess im spoiled by the S2000, but damn, the "S" would have eaten the type S for lunch, and still been hungry and so would the current ITR. So, what do I do now? I guess Ill try and track down my old 98 ITR and buy it back. I though about buying the hardtop, but then the issue of the damn blind spot is still there, and still no back seat, which i will need if we have a baby which we are seriously considering. I love my s2000. I REALLY LOVE MY S2000, but it doesnt seem possible for me to keep it. Guys and Gals, what do I do. Should I go home and tell the wife why have a baby when we have one in the garage, or should I suck it up and be a man a sell it? You guys know the suituation, oh, I have an offer for 31K on the table which makes it more tempting, so, what do I do?

PS I am sorry if I offend anyone with the RSX talk or anything else I have said, it is just the way I feel right now, so please don't fame me.

if you hate the top, get rid of the car.
cant imagine hating the top- cant imagine not having this car!!
but i do know that our car was not meant to have a top on it, so if you have to have a top, you have the wrong car-

Good luck with your pending marriage have you considered the CL type S? It's not the S2000 but would be a really good daily driver. Or the Audi S4.

I cant imagine not having a 5 speed car, so unless acura comes out with a 6 speed CL type S, its ruled out, but a very good choice. I need one car only, as it is now, i have 3 cars not including the wifes. it looks like a damn used car lot at my house.

You say that you are getting married on September 8th? Since you asked, I would say that you are a bit overdue for a chat with your intended about such things as the relative priority of cars and kids in your lives for the next few years. If you have already had this chat, who wants to change the priorities now, you or her? Being a man doesn't mean that you have to father a child or drive a fast car, but it does mean that you have to honor your commitments. But then, you knew that.

I'm calling my dealer tomorrow, if what you say is true, and the car is great, this will be perfect

Heck of a dilemma.
You drive the S2000 how many hours a week?
You will drive the car how many years?

You will be with your wife and child how many hours a week?
You will be married for how many decades?

If you can't afford both, I know which way my decision would go. Regardless of how much I enjoy the car, people come first.

Sorry you may have to give it up. Great success with your marriage and family!
