Default My S Had A Door Opened Into it Today

So im at the post office today, i always park with a open space on each side of the car (as often as possible) anyways i come out get back into my car. As Im filling out some paperwork to mail a guy in a truck pulls in the spot next me passenger side, Thinking nothing of it he opens his door right into my car gets out to head into the post office (im assuming he didnt see me in the car) to make a long story short theres a small dent on my rear passenger side quarter panel right above the bumper . So im having a paint less dent removal guy come to my work tomorrow to look at it and hopefully fix it. If he cant fix it it would have to be resprayed etc or just live with the dent. what would you guys suggest i do? im assuming the paint would probably never match up perfect right? any input would be helpful. Im just hoping and praying the paint less dent dude can fix it and its over with, but i wont know for sure till tomorrow, man its gonna be hard to sleep tonight

Definitely relax. I got this one my first week owning the car - right on the seam too. My PDR guy charged $100 for a house call and made it disappear in about an hour of careful work. I honestly cannot even tell where the dent was.

I stopped at a strip mall to get a drink at Tropical Smoothie Cafe. Came back 15 minutes later with my mango smoothie, and there it was. No culprit in sight.

If it did come down to painting, NFR is not a hard color to match.... don't sweat it.

I had a similar situation (I was walking to my car when I saw them open the door on my car). It was with such force that I actually saw my car shake. I got their insurance information and took care of it with their insurance. Did you get out of your car and call him/her out on it?

IMHO, post offices are to be avoided, and I'll park some distance away and walk rather than venture into their lots -- people in a hurry and too few spaces is not a healthy combination. Got my wife conditioned into using the park across the street from ours, doors are unmarked after 8 years.

Had a friend get his new Plymouth Arrow (yeah, this was some time ago) mangled in a post office lot, I've stayed away ever since.

Do you see any paint creases or chips? If not it's easily fixed with a good PDR job, no sweat.
