My S vs my Pathfinder
Ouch. Just returned home from the grand tour de Texas to see all the families for the Thanksgiving holiday. Had to take our 97 Pathfinder since we were packing some items that wouldn't fit in the trunk of the S.
I've put a zillion miles on the Pathfinder and it has served me very well indeed, but the only thing I could think of all weekend was, s*it! wouldn't it be a nice day to have the S??? By this morning, I was jonesing so bad to drive the S that I stopped by a Honda dealership on the way home just to look at an S on the lot. Other than the dealership, didn't see one other S between Dallas and Houston for 5 days!
After unpacking, I cleaned the S, I mean, after all, it had become slightly dirty just sitting in the garage....
and then just took a little spin out into the country and felt just damn happy to be back behind the wheel and snugly wrapped into this wonderful machine.
How bizarre is that?? I really really really feel for you folks up north who have to put the S up over the winter. I was only away from mine for a few days and it was killing me.
What a strange car this is to have this kind of effect - and I somehow find it very hard to believe that I'm the only one on this forum who suffers from the same symptoms.
Cheers!

I had to drive my Father-In-Law's 99 Pathfinder for a couple of hours on Friday, and it was totally ponderous and tippy compared to my S2K. But then it's also far easier to get an 8 foot Christmas tree strapped to the top of the Nissan than it would be on the S.
