performance of EVO is unbeatable....heck ya...such a bang on the buck...

but after all...that doesn't matter cuz styling is just too faucked up to look at. can't get ricer.

if all that performance was under the cover of eclipse(older generation)...i think it would be a biggest hit on the market.

Well, maybe an eclipse without all that Pontiac style body crapola.

put the evo motor and turbo set-up in just about any other shell and i would buy it. the 4 doors, park-bench wing, and all around body styling leaves a lot to be desired.

Sounds to me like you wanted a car that's fast in a striaght line. If you were looking for that in the S2k it was just the wrong place.

I would've thought a supercharged S2000 would be faster than the stock EVO even in a straight line.

The EVO certainly has all of the power, torque and acceleration you can handle, but a car is more than how fast it can go, or how quickly it can accelerate. The S2k has a certain amount of style and class that the boxy, plain looking EVO can't reflect. Optimally, the s2k is a great car. Sexy to look at, moderate power, and the drop top is just such a great feature to have.

I bought my s2000 back in 01'. At first I hooked some NOS up to it until the comptech supercharger came out. Also i installed HKS exhaust. I still left the juice on but only a 35 shot(the lack of tq.) I put 18x8.5 SSR in the front and 18x9.5 in the rear with nitto's wrapped around them. Then I got the comptech aftercooler. Then I took off the nos. My question is would you S2000 owners be happy with setup? I sold the car with about 22k miles for 18,000. If you are unhappy with the S2k get an evo. I recently purchased the MR evo. I'm finally satisfied. My evo isn't stock now. I believe that I wasn't happy with the car b/c I felt I had to dog the car to qench my thirst. I spent alot of money on the upgrades. Tell me what you think about my switch from a S2000 to an evo.

Thanks
Scott

congrats on the evo, sounds like you were meant for one from the beginning. Have you replaced the clutch yet?

I might buy the car back. Just wanted everyone's opinion about the cars. S2000's have alot of S.T.Y.L.E. Evo's look good with a nasty monster under the hood though. How much can a stock block take on a S2000? Does any one know? I owe 15k on my evo MR. then I could take out a personal loan 4 20k to get the car back.

So you spend a ton of money trying to make your s2000 into a straight line powerhouse and after thousands of dollars and years of coming up short you give up on it and buy a faster car with more straight line potential.

Now you want to go back?

Doesnt make much sense, does it? Just buy a used supra.
