Default My S2000 Backed Into

Unfortunately, over Xmas Break a family member backed into my car which was quietly parked in the driveway. Funny part is, is that the culprit was a newer Audi Q5, which has back-up cameras.

Anyway, what do you all recommend I do? As you can tell, the trailer hitch was the only point of contact, so the damage isn't too bad. Is it a simple Bondo application and a paint job on the bumper? Or would you recommend I get a whole new bumper (which would probably show up in a carfax due to the insurance company being involved).

Thanks and Happy New Year.

Edit: Sorry for the dirty car! I took it after it happened.

I agree, just get a new bumper and have it painted. I wouldn't even notify insurance.

Painting it wouldn't be an additional >$500? Or are we able to order Bumpers from Honda already painted and matched?

I would suggest you have that area repaired and blended to the rest of the bumper rather than having a new bumper blended into the hood/fenders.

1. I've had a scratch on a Scion tc bumper, and they had to do a new skin and repaint (others paid). $350
2. On my Corolla, someone scrathed 1/2 the bumper in a parking lot, $800 to quality work; I got it done for $400 b/c I had a new skin and repaint done instead of new bumper. Didn't quite line up exactly on one side, but it was 5 yrs. old at the time, and I had to pay for it myself since the person who did it was gone!
(and, I had parked completely away from all other cars, someone had to back up from the other lane of parked cars very sloppy and wide to have done it)
3. When it was brand new someone nailed a quarter size dent in a door at King's Island, and I had parked so no car would be beside one side; I have no idea what they banged my car with; my first new car, I was sick; cost me $75 to get it "sucked" back to normal.

Looks like the OEM license plate bracket would cover that up.
