Default My S2000 slower than other S2000?

I have always felt that my S2000 is slower than other S2000 that my friends has... I have 3 others to compare with, 2 1999, and 1 2005 all AP1s

So they all should feel the same as mine, especially the 2005 JDM AP1... but no they all feel faster than my car... and my car should have the lowest mileage on it

I am thinking is there something I should look into?
May be valve adjust and ECU reset?

Ummm, 2005's are AP-2's.

(this sounds like one of those "mine is bigger than your's" threads )

I think he is in Japan and the 2005's were still 2.0 liter 9K engines, I think but with the AP2 chassis.

Feel is not a very good thing to go by, When I ware ear plugs I sware I lose 10hp. Are you driving all of the cars? When I am not the driver the cars feel faster. Dyno runs on the same dyno or a race on a closed course (not open roads) is the only way to really know.

This has been known to happen, as some cars simply put out a little more power then others from the factory. I remember my 04 STI being faster then a friend's 04 STI. I ran a 13.4 on my first run, and he ran a 13.8. They were both fairly new at the time though. We switched drivers, and he outran me in my own STI. Due to age of the vehicles though, this may not apply. Best advice above, dyno runs on same dyno back to back, or race on a closed course.

Eat less hamburgers?

Feel is too ambiguous, and even if it's truly documented to be faster/more powerful, there are many other factors that need to be considered.

I live in Hong Kong, but yes you are correct my s2000 is imported from Japan... so 2005 (my friends) and 2004 (my car) are both 2.0L 9k engline with AP2 chassis...

Yes I have been driving them back and forth the same road... all 4 different s2000 including mine...

I guess this could be true too, but would u think the valve adjustment will make up the difference?

You could try it, along with a full tune up. All these cars are completely bone stock right? No exhaust, intake, or any other even mild modifications right? No additional weight from removal or addition of items? All cars replaced with the same exact OEM parts (exhaust, plugs, air filter ect ect. Too many factors to come up with an answer really.

Like I said before, every car is slightly different coming out of the factory. Some are a little faster, some are a little slower. That might be the case, as vehicles are not exactly alike when built, but due to age, it could be as simple as a tune up, or heck, maybe your valves, ect ect.
