I'll be doing 225/40 255/40 when i buy tires. gonna buy the dunlops for the rears this week as the front BFGs are still in good shape. I'll report back with my opinions after the auto-x event on the 14th.

Sumitomo HZRIII - 225/255 setup FTW. Love mine on my daily driver and I drive the hell out of them

^^^Agreed. I just picked up those sumitomo's off tirerack. They rated them higher than the potenza re50's, and I can see why. These tires are precise as hell, grip like a devil, and are very quiet for the DD.

I agree. They have slightly more sidewall flex, but a few extra PSI and they are good to go. Very predictable, great noise level, crazy tread depth. I'm a few thousand miles deep on mine and still love them.

If cost is no object, Michelin PS2s are outstanding. 225/45/17 and 255/40/17 on mine.

Just threw a set of Hankook Ventus v12's on my car. Will post a review but they're cheaper than a Star spec (by a considerable margin) and in all the test results I've seen, perform just as well
