my second trashed s2k !!
Lisa,
Sorry to hear the bad news. Very glad that your son and the girl are doing good. God certainly was looking over them that day.
As for getting another Stook - I am not 100% sure what I would do if I were in your shoes. I think if I did get another Stook it would definately be a different color and put a good luck charm in it to keep it safe. Sorry you have to go through the troubles of getting another car.
We will keep your son and the girl in our thoughts and prayers. Best of luck on making your decision. Rowland

Lisa-
My prayers go out to you, your family and that girl and her family. What an emotionla roller coaster you all must be on right now. Thank God for miracles and the fact that it looks like both kids are going to be ok.
If you love the car, and it sounds like you do, I say buy another. The truth is that it sounds that the car did its job very well in that terrible accident and not only protected your son, but did not do more damage on the girls car than could be avoided. I imagine that if you son had been in a Ford Expedition, for example, the girl would not have lived.
My fiancee was involved in a horrendous accident in her first car (a green 1999 Acura Integra). Thank God the car did it's job (deploying both airbags and using the crumple zones) because she walked away with only a few scratches and some bruises. She really hesitated on buying another 'Teg, as she was fearful that the car would bring back bad memories. In the end, she loved the car, and loved the fact that it "gave its life for her". She bought a white Teg as a replacement and very rarely looked back.
Good luck with whatever decision you make. Give your son a big hug and let's all take a moment to thank the engineers in Tochigi for having the foresight to make this little car so damned good.

OMG!!!
Very glad to hear everyone is ok.
I just got home and was going to email you. Someone at work asked me today if I wrecked my car yesterday near where you live. I guess I know who the owner was now.
Get your name on the list for the first 2002 silver or blue. Let me know when it comes in so I can come check it out!

Lisa,
Sorry for your misfortunes but glad your everyone is expected to recover.
As for getting another one, your son survived t-boning another car at 45 mph....
That alone might be reason enough to buy another one.
Glad to know the S2000 is so crash-worthy!
Kindest regards,
-Mike

I will be wishing your son a rapid recovery.
Please keep us updated on his health. I currently do not livein NC, but I have several friends that do, and that live in SC that can help you and your son find the proper doctors if you need a few references here and there since their main functions are to refer people to the correct doctors - and if the PT's dont help, watch out on that back and take a short visit to a chiropracter.

wow i am glad that both your son and the girl are ok, now knowing that he was in an accident at 45 mph in the stook and is alright makes me feel better, this last feberuary i was in my 2001 eclipse spyder driving home in the snow when my brakes and traction control went out i hit a telephone pole on the drivers side at around 40-45 mph, this is what happened..........not one airbag popped out (i had been having problems with it and the dealership called the next day saying that the new airbag was in, a little late huh?!) the entire frame of the car or unibody whatever shifted i hit my head on the window had a concusion and a sprained neck, to this day i am still having vision problems, migranes and stuff liek that, if i wouldne have had my seatbelt on i wouldve been worse off, well now i feel better in my stook, i guess it is a safe lil car............welll and that is also the story of hw i came to get the s2000
hehe and i am glad that it did,
i think that everything happens for a reason, but i would say get another stook you will regret it if you dont and dont let anyone drive it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! thats how i am with mine, anyway best wishes to you and your family also the girl and hers too
