wow.. glad everyones alright.. and hopefully healing well. from every real life account i've heard the s2000 does well in real live crashes.. amazing for a little car. the side impact beams are massive and the frame is extremely rigid.

stuff like that scares me everytime i go out.. theres alot of leap before they look drivers on the road.

Best wishes for a speedy recovery. I know how bad it is to be in a serious accident, so you and your son are in my thoughts.

So I guess "The Third Time Is the Charm" for You and S2000's, huh?

I, too, want to express my concern and good wishes for your son and the girl in the other car, and my sorry at your second instance of bad luck.

I just walked away from an accident at 80 mph two weeks ago, which only reaffirmed my faith in the S2k as a safe vehicle.

I let instructors drive when they're trying to teach me, but I'd never let anyone else drive either of my cars.

By all means go for that third-time-charm thing. If you don't, you'll probably be kicking yourself in the butt every time you see an S2K on the road.

Glad to hear that everyone was alright, although a bit worse for wear.

Like others have already said, the S2K was strong enough, and built well enough to protect your son in the accident. I say, go for it and buy another one.

Oh my gosh, Lisa, I'm so happy your son and the other driver will be okay and I'm horrified at your new MY2001's death.

You were so wonderful in supporting me and others with the #4 cylinder problem and you were great at sharing your experience working with AHM on getting this car.

My only advice to you on your next car is to follow your heart. If it is still for an S2000, then do it. If two bad silver/black's in seven months is too much, find what you want NOW (not what you wanted back-then) and get it.

I might, at this time, be thinking of a Ford Extravagana or a Toyota Titannic or a Chevrolet Colossus or maybe one of these:

Best wishes to you. Thank goodness you are still here and on the board.

Lisa,
I know where we could order one from in Massachusetts, but they are a little more expensive then a new Stook and the color choice is not very good; Desert or Woodland patterns.
