that sucks man... i would hate for my s2k to get broken into like that. But on the positive side, i dont think that is enough damage to total it out. GEICO should fix it with no problems. But I would consider yourself lucky that they did not get the seats because then that makes it sooo much harder to keep from getting totaled out.

good luck!

If you have full coverage. Just pay your deductible. Replacing the top is $$$

My top was slashed the first year I got it... My $500 ded. > $2500 worth of dealer parts/labor.

But sorry to hear, it definitely sucks when people mess with your car.

that happend to me, a break in, top slashed and then pulled back and bent frame....the bent frame was replaced after the top materials cause the shop did not notice....even though the top did not close correctly...i noticed and let them know...my recollection was the insurance and shop paid 100% which was something like 1800, the top being about 700 and the top frame over that figure plus their labor. no problem...your insurance should cover it...theives got what they could carry, which as about nothing more than a hat, sunglasses, and a few odd cd's. they were caught the next day, long story, but nice outcome...my top was begging to wear and now it looks new, only straps that keep it back when top is lowered were reused and got weark almost immeidately...used the modfry mod which was perfect in every way to fix after all this.

Just got backl from Geico, my $3,100.00 check has been deposited, and my $2,995.00 OEM Hard top is on its way, this process has been great

FYI, If I did not own the car GEICO would not have issued me the check, which makes perfect sense
