Default My top won't stop ripping

So my stop keeps ripping in the usual spot on the passenger side. I bought modifry straps, patched it with marine vinyl and glued it with Goop and it keeps happening over and over. My only other thought is that the bar that rubs on it is still sharp. Problem is, every time is described or mentioned in a thread, there never seems to be a pic posted of it and someone refers to some thread it's in that I can never seem to find.

Can someone please post a pic of the spot on the bar that needs to be filed down, so I can hopefully be done with this problem? Thank you!

the cutting of the time is more from the sharp edge that is pictured in post#15 from your link that has the arrow pointing to it and not that curled bar...
file or tape up that sharp edge

Also, i assist my top going up or down whenever I can by helping the most forward and rear bars

so would taping that bar also help? and scanned the thread that was posted. and lizard skin looks like it's for bikes, preventing the chain from hitting the frame?

^^^
yes, that's what a lizard skin does but many cyclist including myself just wrap electrical tape or wrap an old inner tube around the frame parts and secure the ends with electrical tape lizard skins aren't cheap and shift time to time

So it's the bar before the curved one and the curved one isn't the culprit?

No one has a pic of the exact point that causes the hole?

Feel with your hand. What is sharp up there? Anything that is sharp needs not to be before your problem will be resolved. Sort of goes without saying.

TO OP, read this clearly... (sorry not trying to be an ass)

SEE THE ARROW IN POST 15 from the link right here ^

Also, the picture shared in your thread with the black line is from an ap1 frame. ap1 frames are slightly different and don't have that ap2 sharp edge

Can you post a photo of your specific top and the rip you're getting?

Depends on the specific soft top frame. Mine wasn't cutting at the point indicated by the arrow in the photo in the post you're referring to. As other posts state, deburr any sharp points on the frame and coat. If you slowly lower and raise the top you'll see where rubbing takes place against wherever you're developing a tear.
