Default My Turbo Dynos

Sorry for the crappy image quality, the scanner at kinkos was seriously defunct. I did the best I could.

Horsepower: Baseline1, Turbo1, Turbo2:

Torque: Turbo1, Turbo2 (sorry, no baseline)

Horpower & Torque: Turbo1, Turbo2 (sorry, no baseline)

I'm having trouble reading the numbers....can you type out the numbers right before Vtec, at Vtec, and right after Vtec and at peak....

Thanx in advance.

Sure, I'll do the best I can...

picture 1: max hp, 334.2hp, baseline: 212.5hp

picture2: max torque at about 5500 rpms, 220 ft lbs, should be smoothed out with dyno tuning. (pretty much about 220 from 5500-9000)

picture3: just picture 1 and 2 superimposed on each other.. If anything you are looking for here, it's the shape of them. Maybe someone (wes?) can try to futz in a torque baseline curve and superimpose it on one of my own pictures.. Would be nice.

ChrisD, what was the difference between Turbo1 and Turbo2 in the last picture. Seems like one of the HP/Torque curves are shifted to a lower RPM. Tuning?

Sounds very impressive. To bad this kit isn't California legal (CARB) or I'd have to consider it

Very nice powerband from from 5k-9k -- should be very "drivable". And 330+ rwhp: it'll be a monster off the line.

Congratulations - this turbo kit certainly appears to be the "holy grail" for S2Kers looking for power.

A couple Qs:
1) This is the same kit derryck has, right?
2) No intercooler, correct? Any worries there?
3) You must be using a V-AFC to help tune, right? Is it the Apexi or a custom part that comes with the kit?
4) derryck said he took out his cat; did you? Any worries or issues there?

Thx,
John

Chris has the same kit that I do and we both have a HUGE intercooler. I forget the exact dimensions but it's somewhere in the neighborhood of 22 inches wide by 11 inches tall by 4.5 inches thick. I'm using the V-AFC and Chris will be too as soon as he gets it installed.
