For the record ..here's some pics of the air horn install I had done a few weeks back. It was done in the same fashion as an earlier poster (can't remember who it was now) meaning that no holes had to be drilled anywhere in the car.

Everything was mounted behind the grill.
The install was done by removing the plastic wind deflector underneath the front of the bumper. It was not neccessary to remove the bumper from the car.

I had the horns painted black with engine enamel so they can't be seen. The stock relay was used.

Wish I'd got them to do the a/c receiver/dryer as well. Oh well.

The horns are twin tone horns and cost me about $40 Australian. They sound great. Note I have the trumpets angled downward so any water that does get in runs straight back out.

Different strokes for different folks. I dislike the standard 'meep meep' sounding horn myself

Which ones did you order? The Fiamm or some other? Does anyone have any sound files? TIA.

Mine have a sweet sound totally unlike a truck. I too was looking for 'the air horns' that produced that 'euro' Ferrari kind of sound and have come to the conclusion that pretty much most air horns will give you this. I think this is partially why I went for twins and not triples. I'm sure the triples sound cool though I do believe the Ferrari has a _double_ set of twin air horns but I could be wrong.

Muz, I am also interested in 'meep meep' upgrade options. In the past I have found the problem with air horns is the time they take to actually create a sound from pressing the horn button. It is not instantaneous (I think due to the fact that you actually have to get the air compressor going before you can blow a note) and often tif you need to beep quickly in an emergency it is too late. What have your experiences been - my experiences are a few years old now and maybe times have changed?
