What's different about the 04/05 diff? Anyone break one yet? Any pics comparing it to the comptec hreinforced housing?

 

bump, I'm debating spending the extra money on the 04 just for the differential, lol

 

Hardtopguy has a few of them for sale right now.....About 7 miles, came from a few in-transit wrecks..if you need a dif, this is the only ticket in town...I got myself an 04 tranny from the same wrecks..

There are many levels of a blown dif...Unless you're breaking the main caps and pushing the lsd and ring gear back in the dif, a Comptech housing is useless and will not protect against abuse. The stock unit is more than capable of handling the job of a roadster, not a dragster.
