Default MY04-MY05 lateral G-force?

Does anyone know what the newer S2000's pull on the skidpad?

They have larger tires all around so I figured it would be up from the old figure.

.90g. Best handler of the three when looking at slalom, skid-pad and figure 8.

i actually think the AP1's have the greater max lat grip....maybe .92??? this could be because of the sticker tires.....

Car and Driver reported 0.88 on the day they tested it against the Elise which pulled 1.06. Sticky tires have a large affect on this number.

On the '04+ s2k, is the alignment as non-agressive as the stock >'03. I know after I played with my alignment over a couple of auto-x seasons my 'at the limit' driving had a much higher limit.

I would think with the new s2k having larger ruber on it, wraped with R compound tires it should be a very sticky car with stock wheel sizes on it. I'm guessing that is why it ended up in AS? Or has this changed, I have not followed any of this as much as I would have liked.

I've never read that article before. It's pretty impressive that the S was only a second behind the Elise around the track with street tires. Considering the Elise is almost 1000lb lighter and is just about a full second faster to both 60mph and 1/4 mile.
Hmmm, I don't know? which circuit did they use - BeaverRun has a number of layouts, using one of the smaller layouts, 1 second is a whupping. More impressive would be that it's only 1 second given the tires on the cars not so much the respective 1/4 mile times. The old S02's are a really good tire, but should cede ~ .5 seconds per lap to a quasi Rcomp, on a shortish track.

What are 'The Ring' times for both times (though hardly conclusive as it's typically done by different drivers on wildly differing conditions).

Possible, I'm sure Pedal Faster will comment. You do know that all S2000s are now AS as of this year...? The AS cars I don't believe proved any (much?) faster than the original BS cars - again PF can provide comment, I cannot remember the National results IRT AS S2000 vs BS S2000 - and I believe the BS cars still had the superior drivers.

Now that I think about, I do remeber reading the s2k is going all AS, just forgot untill ya joged my memory. No worries here though, I already play with some big boys in SM2 (still on SO2s, I think I'm the only one in SM2 not on R compond in my region) because of my wanna be mods

Does this mean that >'03 s2k can 'upgrade' to the '04< wheel sizes and stay in a 'stock' class?

Not from what I recall - I only think that is possible in BSP (the sp classes).
