MY2006-7 specific question about spare key options
Apologies for what is effectively a repost. I want to take one more stab at this with a more explicit title before I give up and order the expensive key.
If I read dwight's post here correctly, then my only option for a spare key for my 2006 is the stylized S2000 key, part # 35111-S2A-307, and a plain (cheaper) key is not an option. Is that correct?
Saki GT suggested in the other thread that the grey valet key, part # 35112-S2A-305 would also work, provided that it could be cut as a regular key. If it can, then I wonder if the black one in that same diagram, # 35111-SLJ-306 would also work.
Can anyone confirm success with these keys on an '06 (or '07)?
I am convinced that MY06+ can only be programmed by Honda HDS computers. The dealer's reference material shows that only the fancy key will work for MY2006. They'll cut and program other keys at my request, but I'm hesitant to start experimenting, since I'll be on the hook for the dealer's programming charges even if it doesn't work.

Is there any chance you know what the part number is for your key? (There seem to be several plain "H" keys that look identical, but have different part numbers.)
Just wanted to add a conclusion to this.
Saki GT's suggestion to have the grey valet key, part # 35112-S2A-305 cut as a master did indeed work, and was the cheapest option that I could find.
$28 for the key at the dealership (they wouldn't cut what they didn't sell), + $5 for the cut and $55 for the programming.
