I keep noticing reappearing white flecks on the passenger side of the car - underneath the side marker and on the lower part of the door. I try to get them off everytime I wash the car but it seems like they just keep coming back. Obviously, the tire is kicking up something from the road onto the the side of the car but I can't figure out what it is and where I'm picking it up from. The only thing that I can think of is the white line road paint that the county puts down at the edge of the road, but how often do they really do that?? I do not remember seeing this on my other car which I used to drive to all of the same places. Any ideas on what this is and any suggestions what to use to get it off without hurting my paint?
