Default Naturally Aspirated HP?

Just wondering if anyone had some suggestions for my car....

I have an 01 Silverstone that just had an entire new engine dropped in, ( made the mistake of letting someone else drive my car ) but now that I have it back I wanted to add a little HP. I already have a Comptech intake system and I swapped out the CAT for a test pipe. Aside from that everything is still stock except suspension, tires, wheels, etc.

The issue here is that I'm not quite ready for any forced induction (yet). So I was going to see if anyone had some good ideas for improvements.

I have also heard that new headers would be a bit of a waste of money at this point, but whatever suggestions you have would be great, thanks!

not much power gains with N/A modifications - at least not worth the $ in terms of "bang for buck"

if you're looking to go quicker and get the most bang for your buck i would recommend replacing your final drive gear with something more aggressive - 4.44, 4.57, or 4.77 .. this will make your car accelerate faster at the loss of some top end. even with one of the most aggressive setups (4.77) the car tops out at ~140-145 ..and how often do you go that fast?

I was actually debating doing that, but I wasn't really sure of where to look, or what setup has showed the best results...

VAFC, Greddy eManage Ultimate or AEM EMS will give decent NA hp gains especially on an early car like yours.

EMS is a good start if you have basic bolt ons. Then once you have an EMS, its not that hard to put an ITB setup together for a few thousand more. ITB's are LOUD though, so only if thats what you want.

That price is w/ every available option, basically that's for a complete reinforced (probably Comptech) pumpkin w/ gears installed and speedo calibrator.

By itself they charge $590.
