Nearly lost my S2K
Hey Guys,
The weather has been very strange in Jersey recently... Yesterday there was 3 inches of snow, last night there was rain, and today 40mph winds.
So i was driving to work, in the s2k, because the snow had melted. I take the back roads, in some relatively heavy forests, to cut out the traffic of the main roads. I am on this one pretty damp, wet road, (up the side of a mountain) going up a 4-5 percent gradient, when suddenly the wind picks up and this humungous branch of a tree drops right in front my car. I was going 30 mph and had to do a quick moose test. I kept my foot partially on the throttle, avoided the main part of the tree and only hit a few outer branches! It was something out of a movie and i reacted without thinking. I came to a stop and called the police to let them know half a tree was blocking the road! Just gotta say that i was pretty lucky that it didn't drop on me, or a little later than it did, not allowing me to avoid it!
