Need Advice on Seats
Is there a combination of rail/aftermarket seat which meets the following criteria:
1. Will lower my head by about three inches, while also not lessening my legroom;
2. Is something I could install myself, without undue swearing;
3. Is somewhat affordable, since I probably would also get a matching passenger seat, so it would not look strange;
4. Is comfortable for daily driving, while also holding me well when on the track (better than the stock seats);
5. Looks ok for a daily driver; and
6. Would allow me to reinstall the stock seats when I sell the car?
I saw some posts on an old thread about lowering the stock seats, but I'm not too thrilled about the idea of making permanent changes in the stock seats. I have two problems with the stock seats (I'm 6'2" tall, relatively trim, with relatively long legs): First, even with the seat all the way back, my thigh is very close to the steering wheel, making heel/toe very difficult; and second, my eyes are at about the level of the rear view mirror, making it uncomfortable to see traffic lights, putting my head above the roll hoops, and causing my helmet to hit the top. I'm hoping to solve these problems.
Thanks!
