Default Need assistance on....

I'm wrapping the center console part from an ap1 in cf. I peeled off the leather and cushioning under neath, but I can't take it apart. I also cant get the shift boot plastic off.

I was looking under neath and from what i can guess, its hot glued on. I'm not sure. I would appreciate any help. Thanks for looking.

Turn the console over and you will see the retaining clips that hold on the boot trim piece. Press the retaining clips back, one at a time, and push the trim piece up from the bottom.

To remove the tray for the elbow pad, turn it over. It has plastic mounting pins that are on either side of the word "CONSOLE". Grind off the plastic retainers with a dremel tool, but don't damage the plastic mounting pins.

Backyard special makes one in full CF, but notice the construction is not the same as OEM and the coin tray is plastic:

I haven't seen one wrapped in CF, so I'm curious how it will come out.

I had mine dipped so I could do the whole interior:

Good luck with your project!

If your going to be modding your interior alot check out the interior pry tools from modifry.com. I did the same thing your doing and it saved so much time and general wear and tear on the parts. Screwdrivers and other metal objects are hell on the interior. Post pics when your done!
