Need differential help
So last night i popped my 3th diff......yes i said it, my 3th. I was out on a joy ride and took off and shifted around 8200 into 2nd and POW!
I am wondering what i need to do to make this thing "bulletproof". I have owned 3 RWD cars and i own a is300 as my daily and i have never had any issues. I know my driving style has something to do with it but i am not a hard shifter. I drive the car maybe once a month. I was last using Lucas 75w90 i believe.
I remember reading last time my diff popped about a "puddy" mod but i can not find any information. Also i know that richmond has a 3.57 gear out that is supposed to be more durable than stock but i cannot find that for sell either. Ricks sold it years back but it doesn't look like he carrys it anymore.
Here are my thoughts:
1. Do the puddy diff mod if it is still around
2. Find a set of the richmond gears and get them cyrotreated as well as get the diff reinforced (i think comptech has a kit or something)
3. throw another stock diff in and sell the car
I am in the dark right now on the best option. I would really appreciate your guys thoughts. I am sure there is more options out there so i would like to hear what they are. Share what diff fluids are best too, so far i have tried RP, mobile 1, and lucas (all 75w90) and they all failed. Thanks in advance for the help!

Yes, every diff i have had have been used. Also the last 2 i had in there were supposed to be out of ap2's which i know were rumored to be slightly stronger. I have opened up both a ap1 and ap2 diff and never noticed any differences though.

Well i have a good diff laying around but i don't see the point in throwing it in if i'm just going to destroy it in 10k. I will PM him. Any more ideas anyone?

...i wonder if they sell any of that DUOLEC stuff in local auto stores?...
