Thumbs down Need An Exhaust

Hey guys, I'm in the market for a dual exhaust. I'm not really into the 'high pitched' sounds when you rev high (although the invidia v3 does sound nice). I'm looking for something that has a very deep, low sound to it that is moderately loud. Good power gains would be nice too, any suggestions? TIA

Good power gains and dual exhaust are pretty much mutually exclusive on this car. If you want to make good power gains, the best route is to go with a single.

What you describe sounds very similar to my shopping list when it came time for an exhaust. I wanted to stay dual and get a lower "sportier" tone. I ended up with the Comptech exhaust and for me it is the perfect balance of sporty sound without being overly loud and obnoxious.

Youtube videos will help in selecting the exhaust you want, but your best bet is to get out to a meet with many other S2000 owners and listen to a variety of different exhausts in person before you make your final decision.

That's my plan. Hopefully there's some meets soon in my area. How much power difference is there between single and dual? I don't mind a single, but I don't like the looks of the other side looking 'empty'.

Eric,

I went through this same drill recently and ended up with a Skunk2 Racing dual catback exhaust system [#413-05-2025, 70mm into dual 60mm, 32lbs (OEM = 58 lbs and 61.5mm)]. It is much more than moderately loud though with the silencers removed. The Tuner mags have some dyno results which show it delivers moderate hp gains ( +3~4hp @ 1500-3500rpm +3~5hp @ 3500-5500rpm +5~12hp @ 5500-9000rpm). I also like the look as the cans are slightly flared outward.

Oh and for those who will try to tell you that it is the same as an Invidia or T1r, ignore them.

Give the Greddy Ti-C a try. I have the HKS Hi-Power non resonated and I love it. It has that 350Z/G35 growl but slightly louder

Oh man, what to do, lol. I love the sound of a G35, but the Skunk 2 and the Invidia V3 also sound sweet and look amazing. I guess it just comes down to power until I decide..?

T1R V3 70mm Header back. FTW! You won't regret it. You also won't be able to hear anything.

Isn't there an Invidia V4 out? I've seen them advertised but I don't know if they're for S2K's. Anyone know a good place to buy exhausts?

Don't you dare insinuate your exhaust sounds like a Z/G, lol, not that it's a bad sound, but its just impossible. I don't want people to get their hopes up and be let down.
