Yea as far as the scratches, they aren't deep. So I'll be using my Dr. Colorchip to take care of them.

Spray him with a hose a few times and he'll be sure to get the message. Aside from that maybe set the alarm off while he's on it. Or get a fog horn and blast it after sneaking up on him. You don't have to physically beat the cat or harm him. Just let him know that if he gets near the S he's not going to be a happy camper.

Place a couple of water bottles (w/o labels) on the hood. Something about the reflection of light in the water will keep the cats away. It might be an old folk's tale but that's what I heard would work.

U should give that poor car some shelter in your house and keep him/her. Since she choose your car out of all the cars in your neighborhood it's destiny! This way you get a new buddy and no more scratches.

Anyway a cat is UNABLE to scratch off the paint ( i'm not taking about damaging the top but just the paint.. )
