Need Help After Nasty Accident
While I wont go into detail, one look at my very damaged S2000 definitely indicates that 12K miles on the S02 tires is the limit. My rear end definitely let go. Yes, I know..It is all my fault. But now I hope to have the vehicle repaired.
Hoping somebody out there might have a recommendation on Honda Body Shops in the Northern Virginia area. In addition to body work there is front suspension damage, so I'd prefer a shop that has certified Honda mechanics. The appraisals haven't been finished yet (I really doubt they'll total it) and already the body shop guy is trying to talk me into taking the insurance money and then selling the unrepaired car (for parts I assume) to "a guy I know".
I know it can never be like new, but I also know a good shop can do pretty darn well. Anybody have some strong recommendations. I want a shop that wants to watch my car drive off with a big smile on the tech's face that says "I fixed that".
Any help is appreciated.

Try emailing or sending a PM to Gregg, josh3io, and AnimeS2K. I believe they each had some body work done recently on their S2Ks
I can't think of any good ones off the top of my head, but I'll ask around for you - lived up there for 21 years.

Well, if they do call it totaled - does it have a windscreen?

Have you got any pics? I'm curious to see the damage! I drive about a hundred miles a day and unfortunately, half of that is at night when deer, bears, foxes and a varied assortment of mammals decide to wander on to the highway. My biggest fear is that I will come into contact with one of these friendly creatures.
Unfortunately, every photo I have seen of an S2000 in an accident that looks really severe. Death and everything
!Just curious to see it in a mediocre "fender bender." We all gotta go sometime. . .I guess!

No photos right now, but I'll try to post some next week. You would think it should be a "mediocre fender bender" Couldn't tell ya how fast I hit the guardrail, but it was front center-left and my bag did not deploy.
Nonetheless, it looks like this "fender bender" is gonna cost my insurance company (and ultimately me) over 10K!!!!
Excuse me while I go sit in the corner and cry....this is killing me!!!!
