Default Need recommendation for shipping company

After a 11 year hiatus, I will be back in another S2000 soon.
I'm looking to hear if any of you guys have good experiences with a car transport company. I need a car shipped from the west coast to NJ.
Thanks in advance!
Regards
Mike

Since you're asking for recommendations and since you're shipping it so far...I'm assuming this car is "special" to you?

Like...you'd want it on covered transport and everything? And you wanna work directly with the shipper?

Or are you just looking for a low price recommendation?

I got a car shipped from AZ to IL recently. I went thru Mercury (a dispatch service) that found me someone who was willing to do it for $750 and 2-3 days transit. The guy scratched the bumper pulling it off the truck because he forgot to use the parking brake (said he wasn't too good at driving manual).

So it ended up being $450 less in shipping fees as a result of the scratch. It wasn't any hassle to get the funds reimbursed. Guy was honest and forthcoming. Shit happens, I told him.

I was fine with all of that as this car was a daily driver and the scratch was way down below the clearly visible bumper line.

But if this were a special car...different procedure. You know?

Thanks for the rec. I might look into them. I don't mind going for open or closed trailer. Just trying to get a feel for the prices out there. Thanks again!!

I currently have a car being transport from New Jersey to San Francisco right now. It just got picked up on Tuesday and should be here this weekend.
Price: 1200 open trailer

Aaall States Auto Transport, Inc

I also used the same transport broker back in October from Iowa to San Francisco, and price was 1300 for enclosed trailer.

Horseless carriage. Shipped two cars from AZ to PA, great experience and there were some other nice vehicles along for the ride as well.

Reliable.
They did somehow damage my side diffuser (aftermarket) and paid for the replacement. So I was happy with the service. Their rates were reasonable.
