Default need some advice

it's kind of a long story, but i'll try to make it simple as possible.

- i paid a honda tech to swap my exhuast for a side job

- i agreed to pay him $100 for comming to my house and do it.

- he wanted to do it at his friend's house (lift, better tool, etc.) and i still paid him $100. he told me that he will bring my exhaust back with his hatchback.

- exhaust doesn't fit on his car, his friend brings it back to honda dealership.

- he told me once that he will bring my exhaust back which he didn't do, and i went to go pick up my exhaust but i couldn't because he asked his friend to stay until 6 but his friend left early.

- i picked up my exhaust about a month after, and now my exhaust tip is missing.

now, i am confused. i don't think it's my fault that my tip is missing under his possession wheather he put my exhaust in his work, or his friend's house and it seems like it's common sense, but he is saying it's not his fault and he isn't willing to do anything about it except asking around his co-workers where my tips go. am i missing something here? or what should i say to make him pay for my tips or get my money back.

Technically he should replace the tips for you, but in all honesty are you going to ever use your stock exhaust again? Some people on here give them away with the tips.

Tell him you will report him to his work if he doesn't do something. I'm pretty sure side jobs would be a no no for him.

my exhuast is 70r headerback and honestly it's little bit too loud for me so i am planning on going back to stock and put my exhaust back on in the summer if i plan to go to the track. that's why right now, i'm stuck with this exhaust w/o stock exhaust. i just expacted to little bit more honesty and common sense from this guy since he works for honda and was recommended by one of my friend who worked at honda. i guess he only recommended his work/ not his ethics.

Let it go. It's better to have a connection where you can get work done than worry about a missing exhaust tip you are never gonna use again. As far as the noise, you'll get used to it.

Why would you pay someone money to swap your exhaust?

Most s2k'ers would help you for a beer.

Seriously??? He paid for a job to be done correctly, without damage. That is not what happend- and your advice is to move on- and to use this guy again.
