I was just wondering if any of you could clarify something for me,
when people refer to their cars as F20C (S2K), SW20(MR2), EG6(Civic) etc. are they talking about the Chasis or the Engine type or both?

Sometimes, it's to clarify things. There have been so many different cars called Civic for example, it helps afficionados identify it more easily if the internal reference is used: EK4 = old model 3 door Civic, B16A = interesting engine.

AP1 = S2000
F20c = its lump

Sometimes, it's just little boys' club jargon
