Default Need some legal advice

Hi All, (sorry for the long story)

Back in January 10th this year, I went to a dealer (large reputable dealer) to purchase my 00 s2k. I brought it back 5 days later to have my rear axles replaced. I went to pick it up about 5 days later and only to find out the ABS sensors were damaged and I had to leave the car there for a while before they finally fixed it for me. They also took my car to another dealer to have the car diagnosed and replaced the brake pads for free.

When I went to pick up my car on Friday night, the exterior was filthy with salt. I just happened to clean the car today (Sunday) and only to find out that they scratched up my bumper (seems like a scrap) and the paint was chipped off.

I was wondering what I should do. I have taken detail pictures before I dropped off the car at the dealer the first time and it clearly shows that the scratch was not there.

I will go to the dealer first thing in the morning and see what they will do. I have brought the car back for like the 4th time only to find out that something else is wrong with the car. I feel like I should not have bought the car at all!

Any suggestions will be deeply appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Ed

My first advice is to go to the dealer and talk nicely and maturely to the general manager or service manager. Maybe they'll do the honorable thing and take care of it. If not, then contact Honda's regional customer service and go from there. Good luck!

Im no lawyer, but Im sure one would tell you, Documentation, documentation, documentation. Need solid proof they caused the damage and maybe a witness or two to back you up. Most dealers usually have alittle piece of paper they fill out before taking possession of your car to say there is no damage, and you sign this. Did they go over one with you? All things the lawyer will like if you have persue legal action for the damages..

Thanks guys,

I am planning on talking to the general sales manager nicely tomorrow. This will be my 4th time dropping off the car and only to find out there something else is wrong. The bad thing is that on the night of pick up, the car was so dirty that the scratch was not there. Only when I washed the car then the scratch appears.

The dealer never went over the form for any damage that appears on the car. I have pictures to prove that the car was not damaged before the repairement. I bought the car for a little over a month and they had possession of it for 31 days (for repairment).

Thanks again
