Need Some Mod Ideas
I posted all those links because I had done a bunch of searchin' and wishing when i first got my car (2 months ago) I found out very quickly that most do not have the cash or the down time to spare for mods like these especially if it is a daily driver like mine
I think "jcarlton" and "VeilsideAP1" ( see some of his pics here:
http://www.jdmuniverse.com/forums/sh...ad.php?t=26730 ) have done the best when it comes to body mods. J used pieces of two sets and did not completely cover the car up. Veil just took it to an aggressive stance and I think he kept it strictly JDM.
The whole Ricer war/division/hate thing is garbage. Mod the car the way you want. It all comes down to personal tastes and desires. I would never fault someone for moding their car unless it was done crappy (craft-wise). Whatever is done to someone's car ,especially if it is done with high quality, took large amounts of time, patience and most of all cash so I don't hate on on mild or wild.
Although I truly believe the 8K can be best spent on engine upgrades and interior mods. You have to determine what matters most.
I want rims bad, let me rephrase that. I really really want rims bad but I have to budget them out. Amuze Titanium cat back dual exhaust would be nice too but it all has to be scheduled out as to what is most important first.
You can snazzy up the entire engine and make it look and perform beautifully with that cash. You can trick up the interior and get it looking perfect with that cash. Or, you can purchase a body kit or pieces that make up a complete kit and do little else with that cash.
With no effort at all you can spend over 12K on getting the kit parts shaping, molding, and finally painting. Unless you have generous and expert friends and/or money is no object, 8K is only a good start when doing major body mods.
Bang for the buck IMO would be engine and interior. Spend half or a little more on engine spicyness and the other inside.
Either way you go you have no sympathy from me on having to choose. I wish I had this conundrum to deal with.
Enviously pissed (LOL)
